2002 lt80 carb prob

Default 2002 lt80 carb prob

so now to my next issue. on my carb the little brass tit that connects to the hose behind the choke **** broke off.is this a replacabe part, if so what is it called. If not replaceable what is a good cheep carb to buy, thanks

That's the oil injector line...don't think there is a "part" for it, but you should be able to drill it out and replace (it's just brass)...or just block it off and run pre-mix. There are a ton of Chinese replacements for less than $20 on eBay or look for a decent used OEM...

what all is required to just mix fuel on my own. I read about a plastic piece on crank. or do i just drain off oil reservoir and then plug the line

Real easy:
1) plug open hole in carb
2) remove oil tank & line (just dead weight now)
3) remove clutch cover, remove small black plastic key (just slides off) on crank, replace clutch cover
4) pre-mix with good 2-stroke oil (Jack {LT80} suggests 36:1


Optional: remove oil pump and fab up a block-off plate

A good synthetic at 32:1.
You can just drain the tank and remove the plastic piece when you do your regular clutch maint...

I got a bottle of amsoil 2 stroke predator. It suggest 50:1. should i still go 32:1

one more question for now lol. what is the oring size for carb that goes in black spacer. I got an oring shelf here at work, just dont have oring with me. Im asking before I forget lol

A generic o-ring may work, don't know. I use the Suzuki O-rings. Might as well take a few home.
