Default Part identification(question attached to pic)


Does anyone know what this plastic part is called it goes right behind were im holding it next to the front sprocket and has a blue wire that goes to it 91 Suzuki lt230e.

Photo number 49 I think is what you got thats gear shift switch in the above post I sent you

Looks like in your photo the case has been welded prolly because chain has came off of front sprocket because no chain guard and sometime when this happens the chain break case and sometime switch becareful an dont loose the little pin sticking out of shift drum it touches the switch when transmission is shifted to make contact with the little brass lugs on the back side the switch may want to address the issue it doesnt happen again by making sure guard is installed and chain is adjusted correct and rear axle bearings are in good shape If bearings are bad it will cause axle to shift forward in an turn or jump causing chain to get loose an come off of sprocket...Good Luck Sorry for the rant I know you didnt ask for all of that But again I didnt know if you knew what happen to cause the break and I didnt want it happen again to you..
