Default Drive Belt Recommendations for 2005 Vinson 500 Automatic

I'm looking to replace my drive belt for my Vinson and quickly realized there are many different styles compatible with my wheeler. Anyone have any recommendations for a belt designed for speed?

In most all cases the OEM belt works best. You dont buy belts for speed or power you buy good belts to last longer, cheap or wrong belts hamper performance or have short lives.

Have you seen the price Suzuki want for a belt? Our supplier usually sends Gates or Dayco they seem to last OK.

I used to have a Kawasaki and the drive belts were 125 and aftermarket belts were 75. Oem belt would go for 3000 miles where aftermarket belts would only go 1000 miles and performance was poorer. Your money and your machine.....Suzuki has always been extremely high on repair and replacement parts, the number one thing that kills there sales. Otherwise they make good machines!

I bought an aftermarket belt last month for the older LT-A500F, and I suspect it is the same as for the later one (Vinson).
Suzuki wanted over $150, while mine was $33, from Caltric. Ouch.

I was considering this belt, and noted someone mentioned Dayco belts.

Suzuki Dayco XTX (Xtreme Torque) Belt. Fits 2000-07 LTA500F ATVs

I have used Dayco belts and they seem to be OK. All you can do is try one and if it doesn't last, use a different make next time. Give the belt box and pulleys a good clean when you take the old belt out, and make sure the pressed steel thing the rollers slide against is onto the splines, before tightening the centre nut or bolt up.
