Default 15 year old on Vinson 500

Would a Suzuki Vinson 500 be an ok ATV for someone 15? I have prior experience on a Quadrunner 250 and want to upgrade. I'm buying it myself and find Vinsons to be the best value. I would compare it to a Sportsman 500

Also, I want to include that I am a bit on the shorter side however I have no problem shifting my weight or steering even on bigger quads.

The Vinson is an excellent bike, don't know why they never sold in big numbers, but I guess Suzukis reputation for adult bikes wasn't too good in the 90s and it took a while for people to realise that by the 2000s they were making very good bikes. They are quite fast and powerful so, if I were your parent, I would be a little worried about you getting a 500 but it entirely depends on how sensible you are. ATVs can kill, so need treating with respect, ponder as to why you think the 250 isn't big enough.

Experience is a plus, but quite a few of us have been 15 before, so common sense helps too. (as my 15 year old self smiles and says OK)

Can you properly reach all the controls? To me, that's a bigger issue than the motor size.

The 250 is nice, it's just from 1987 and things keep breaking. Its a little slow but I would also prefer the auto trans on the Vinson. I've ridden other auto quads and like them more.

The main thing I want to know is if they ride stable. I wouldn't want one if they were real tippy or had a lot of roll in turns like a high center of gravity. I ruled out a Sportsman 500 because I prefer the solid axle and I also don't like how much the Sportsman weighs

Also, does anyone know if the Vinson has a separate centrifugal clutch with the cvt like the yamaha's or does the primary do everything

They are fairly stable, as good as most 500cc machines anyway, and yes it has a centrifugal clutch like Yams.

If you find a Vinson a smidge big, maybe consider the Kymco's. They are a great machine and the frame size may fit better.
Don't get me wrong, the Vinson is a fine machine.
