I have a 03 suzuki vinson 500 automatic and It wont come out of 4x4 i've checked fuses relay both sensors push button and actuator everything works as it should. The actuator works when i push the button for both 4x4 and 2x4 but it wont disengage from 4x4.

Only worked on one Vinson and it never gave any bother regarding the 2WD/4WD actuator. However we have had lots of trouble with 450 and 500 King Quads. 450s used to get water into the circuit board down by the diff. On 500s the motor burns out and you can't get a new one, so have to buy the whole unit. I would think the Vinson will have the 450 type set up so it is probably a circuit board fault, that can be repaired by a specialist.

I had a 2002 Vinson manual shift. When my 4x4 quit I was able to remove the actuator and turn it where the actuator hook into the diff with a socket. Worked until I was able to get a new actuator.

The actuator works just it wont disengage in the differential. I've took the actuator off and used a socket and tried to get it in 2 wheel drive and that how i found out it wont disengage. and i bench tested the Actuator and it works like it should but you have a great idea something i did not think of on checking the circuit board.

i did the socket thing and it still wouldn't come out of 4x4 so i know the issue is in the differential now just i dont have the knowledge to take it apart and do that kind of repair or the tools that would be needed.

Not that difficult took take apart. I installed a Detroit gearless locker in mine. I still have the Vinson at my shop for pulling cars in and out.
