Need help
#1
Hey guys
I got a gocart with a 230 quad motor on it without a stitch of wiring on it. So starting with the wires off the stater there are 3 yellow wires on one plug and the other plug has two wires one is blue and one green . That's all I got . Any help would be very much appreciated.

Check if those yellows are earthed, if they aren't they can be wired to a standard three phase voltage regulator. The blue will probably be a trigger wire, signalling the spark timing for the CDI, green could be an earth, or the other wire from the trigger coil, or the wire from a power coil which would power the spark on an AC CDI. Best way to sort it would be to get the wiring diagram for the bike with that engine. Failing that, a check if the green is fully earthed, no resistance, or connected to the blue through the trigger coil, or producing low AC voltage between it and earth when the engine is spun on the starter (indicating it is a power coil), this should show which it is. Bit surprised if it isn't AC CDI as Suzuki were more wedded to that system than Honda and Kawasaki, but who knows? They did use a combined trigger and power coil on the LT50 and some LT80s.
