Has anybody ever put on a different rear shock linkage?

Heres my story:
The problem with quadracers is that the seat is too high and the front shocks are at the wrong angle, almost 90 degrees to the ground. What i did is make a new, shorter rear shock linkage and put on 18" tires.
How'd it work?, The stock front shock angle is like 2 dergree incline, Honda has at least 10 degrees. Mine now is 8.5-9 degrees. The stock seat height is 32.4", mine is at 31". It handles much better, But i have not been able to test it at the track yet, I will know this weekend. I just trail rode it. It looks more like a racer, no shock travel was sacrificed, but if the linkage is too short you will run into other problems.
If others are interested in one tell me. Derek
