Ok my 88 Qracer has some tranny issues..... 4th and 5th slip..... I wanted to let it go for cheap but I saw an 85 tranny for 10$ on ebay....

WILL IT WORK ON MY 88 ????????????????

How much for the quad. I don't know if it will work or not but how much would you sell it for if you sell it?

 

Do you mean the clutch slips in 4th and 5th or it won't hold a gear? If its just $10 buy it and take a chance on it.

 

Its Ebay brother.Its 10 Dollars now and in the last 20 seconds of the auction it will rise to 500 Dollars.I'll look into it for ya, but I don't think it will work, they were based (85-86) on a different motor than the 87-92.

It's not the clutch cus thw other gears dont slip PLUS I Got metal flakes in my oil and the cluctch basket look fine.... The gears still work they just slip a lil when I shift at and makes my quad shake..... For the ones who want to buy it..... I posted a thread about that but nobody made me an offer.... I like my quad but I'm just tired of: mixing gas, changin the daam plugs, having my quad quit on me a soon as I hit a good puddle... I invested over 1000$ in that quad and there is still stuff to fix stuff like: brake pads, I think I need to rebuild the carb cuz of the things listed above, TRANNY of course..... fenders.... they're still good but dont look good.... If I keep it I will put a good and fast 4stroke in it but I never saw a good deal one one...... And last... MAN I RODE A 400EX AND I FELL IN LOVE !!!!!!!!!!! of couse I doesnt have a crazy top end like a shee or US but DAAM PERFECT HANDLING, shYt LOAD OF LOW END, ELECTRIC STARTER.... I JUST LOVE DOING WHEELIES WITH THAT THING [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
