More lowend power for lt250r

I need more lowend power for my 87 quadracer.. It doesn't seem to have much,, is this the way that all of them are.. what can be done to help this.. thanks for any info that you have,,,,

No, they generally are not really that way. Did you get your's running good? My friend has a Paul Turner pipe and Fat Boy siliencer on his '87 LT250R and his has a lot of low end power.

Check to see if your exhaust valve is working properly. If it is stuck in the closed position you would be on the pipe till high Rpms
Therefor no bottom end

It seems to be getting better,, it doesn't smoke as much anymore,, I'll have to check the powervalve,, I got my service manual yesterday.. thanks a lot
