Just bought a new Eiger. Had the Kawasaki 650 loaded in my truck and passed the Eiger walking back in the dealer. I asked to test drive it for grins and it was great. When the dealer told me he could sell it for $4660. I unloaded the Kawasaki and loaded the Eiger. Has anyone else bought a Eiger? If so any first thoughts. I find it smooth, fast and a better ride than my old Praire 400 or the new 650. Dont get me wrong, its doeant snap you back like the 650, but its fast and $2000 less.

I'm not trying to put it down or anything, but has anyone else noticed that it looks like a big recon?

I LOVE the new eiger! I am a big recon and rancher fan, and this is a lot like them, only bigger, faster and better(in my opinion). Front disc brakes, large fuel tank(15 liter), good ground clearence(9.3&quot, cheap price, strong motor( same as in 375 ac, and it is said to be fast for a 375) plus it looks like a honda recon/rancher. I've heard it handles good,is smooth, and is fairly fast. I would get the 2wd foot shift(oh yeah, the foot shift has floorboards, unlike the rancher)

Fran, once you get the Eiger broken-in, could you post the top speed, and do a review on it? I assume you bought a 4wd because of the price, but this may be a future modle I may get(2wd version), unless I crack down and get the rumored 450/650ex that may come out in 4 days. The eiger is a lot more practicle for me, but I love high performance, and would miss it if I got an eiger. I need 2 machines!
