Front sprockets(lt250r)
#6
I agree with most of the posts, but I would avoid a rear sprocket change because when I increases mine to 44 it was very close to my skidplate and the first hard hit (rock) caused the skidplate to rub against my rear sprocket and chain. Stick to an 11 for dunes and a 12 for everywhere else.

You are correct Vegas, however, I would imagine it depends on the brand of aftermarket skid plate you have. Going with a smaller front sprocket instead of a larger rear, not only is a more drastic change but also wears out the chain and front sprocket faster. Keeping the front sprocket as large as possible will put less strain on both of these components. This is mearly a fact I wished to pass along but may not be significant enough to base your decision on.
