Even though this isn't about bearings or seals or even the motor, when I first got my Zilla and was riding it it would rev way up, and the culprit was the thumb throttle cable adjuster. The housing was cracked and the threaded rod got cocked off sideways and it pulled on the cable and held her almost wide open, so there may be a one in a million-slim to nothing chance that be happening. I'll bet it's a sure lot easier to fix that than to replace all the seals(and bearings) Oh.....P.S., btodd. if your brother does decide to replace his bearings because of a leaky seal, let him know someone will be laughing at him while he's yanking the motor out to do it(I can sit indian style under my truck and drop the pan, loosen the mains, and slip in the new bearings in just over 2hrs)....

If you really want to go that route Biggy, watch what you do with the wild leg. They can be a real bi#@h on stators.

I'm just of the mind, talkin about just 'zillas here, if the crank seals keep failing then the bearings more than likely are oscillating in their inserts, given that this area is the Achilles heel to begin with. I might add that you brought up checking the crank for runout. If a person had access to any sort of dial indicator and some blocks, as I do, it probably would be in their best interest to check this as well.

p.s. I invented electricity.

AAAAAHHHHHGGGGGGG!!!!!!! COMON!!!!! ENOUGH!!!!!!! change the subject...this is getting real tired!!! Why not speculate about the new sport quad from suzuki, I heard it's gonna be a 6oo twin 2 stroke liquid 30lbs less than the original monster!!! It will be called QUAZAR 600r or QZR 600 for short

Now don't kid around about that, Stormnorm. You'll have me awake all night.
