I don't see much chatter about these 2. I was set on getting a 500 HO until someone pointed out these 2 new models. I would be interested in either one if it would save me significant $ (the HO is $6700 out the door). So...

Riding impressions for each? Power? Handling? Out the door price? My local dealer says the Eiger 4x4 auto is $5599, but the Suzuki web site says $5199?

Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I went ATV shopping this weekend and test drove a Kawasaki 650, Vinson, Eiger, and Kodiak. The dealer didn't have a Grizzly in stock.

I'm told Suzuki has a sale on until Christmas. The Vinsons are selling around $6300 or $6400. The Eiger is $5199.

I compared the Eiger to the Kodiak. The Kodiak is 50 lbs. lighter, and has 25 more ccs than the Eiger. It definitely accelerates better and feels lighter. The Eiger is no slouch though, just not as quick as the Kodiak. If you're looking at the 400cc market, it's hard to beat the Kodiak. That's hard for me to say because I already own a Suzuki King Quad and Quadrunner 250 4X4.

I like the Vinson though. I think it's the best looking 4X4 out there. The suspension is very nice too. I thought the suspension was nicer than the 650 Kawasaki.

The Prairie does have that "neck snapping" acceleration, idles smooth, the exhaust tone is a nice growl.
