Z400 Cost??

freakystone if you want to **** about reliability, ask me about my 14 year old Quadzilla. For that matter ask any Suzuki owner. How can you dog on the z400 handling when you haven't even touched one? It may be a fine performer.

Very well said! But if I get hammered for assuming the handling of the Z400 isnt as good as a 400EX, then how can you assume it will be better or even comparable? My first atv ever was a 84' 125. Nice beginner bike. So I am not against Suzuki's. Wake up, drink some coffee and take my opinion as others do yours.

Freakystone, if you want to make assumptions, you should make them based on facts not because you have 400ex in your signature.
First, the suspention:
If you look at seat height, wheel base, lenghth, and suspention travle you can get a good idea of what the bike will handle like and from what I can see it will be close to a 400ex.
Second, the motor:
More accurate assumtions can be made here. Going by the facts, we know that a 400ex makes about 28hp stock and that a XR400 makes about 31 stock. Everyone knows that the 400ex motor was just a XR400 motor with minor changes. Using this same priceable to compare the Z400 and the DRZ400, you can easily see that because the DRZ400 makes about 39 horse power stock, the Z400 should be at about 35hp stock. Assuming that Suzuki makes similar changes to their motor as Honda did. The DRZ400 motor is just simply a better power pant then the XR400 motor. Although I can't see anything being more reliable then the Honda.
I don't see why this would make people mad. The new Z400 looks to be a great bike. I am more from the dirt bike world (see signature) and I can tell you, I have seen some amazing DRZ's. There is a reason you don't see really cool XR400, because they don't have the potential of up to date four strokes.
Feel free to comment.

Unless you live on a farm and dont mind a 600+ lb. quad, I think it is useless. We trail ride and it had to much dead weight. I do have to say that in a 300 yd drag, it was neck and neck with my 400EX until I hit top forth gear. It was a fast fat hog.
