Hey everyone, hoping for some helpful information. My brother and I just finished putting back together my '88 LT250. No major problems, ran great. Recently it started leaking out of the weep hole in the bottom of the water pump cover. So we took the cover off and replaced all the seals, then it began leaking worse. We were further advised perhaps the case was scratched in removing the old seals, and to smooth it out and try again. We did this to no avail. It leaks like a sive, and I can't figure out why. Any suggestions or anyone who might've had this problem and solved it, thanks!

...Freddie

Theres not too many things and it can be and you covered most of it. You said you replaced both the oil seal and the mechanical seal so the next thing it could be is either the case like you said, or the impeller shaft bearing. If the shaft is moving around, it just destroyed yor new seals. The bearing is sold as one piece with the shaft for about 75.00! One other thing. Are you running any coolant or all water. Some machines have excessive clearance between the shaft and seal will leak with water but not with an antifreeze. The antifreeze aids in sealing. It is recommended you run coolant anyway though because it also keeps the moving parts in the cooling system lubricated. KNOWSALOT.

Mine leaked real bad and I replaced everything just as you did. Except the small gasket under the nut that holds the impeller on. After I replaced that it quit. I hope your problem is as simple.
