LT250r price question

"Suzuki 1992 LT250r. Immaculant cond. low hours.
Powder coated, Lots of extras! $3,100"
Does this sound like a good deal? Is he asking for too much/not enough money? I would like to hear what you guys think about the quadracer 250. I think i've found a buyer for the zilla. The 500 was a good bike, but it drank gas like there was no tomorrow and had a little too much power for me.
I'm trying to pick between a mint condition lt250r quadracer and the banshee. Which one would you choose and why?
thanks for your time.

I don't claim to be an expert especially with suzukis but I got to know a guy with a Bad Ars 250R and Banshee and 92 lt250 down at little sahara in OK and he seems to think if you go with a lt250 go with a 92'. He has a lot of work done to the quadracer alcohol etc and it whips the other bikes he owns which are not stock either ! If it is in mint condition I would definately give it a look!

i bought my '91 in almost stock condition for $2500 about 2.5 years ago. it had a FMF p&s, K&N, boyesen reeds & shock covers, and came with new tires & sand skate II's. since i bought it, i've made even more mods... A-arms, axle, etc... and plan to do more eventually. it was well worth the cash i paid.
the '91-92 are the ones to get, the rear suspension is the most advanced of all of the LT250r's and works great.
just be careful, inspect it close for anything that can be wrong.... my brother got stung bad a couple times already.
at $3100 try to bargain it down... especially if it hasn't got a bunch of extras and isn't perfect.

I haven't ridden a Banshee but have heard they have around 35 horsepower in a relatively high end of the powerband and the suspension is OK but not great. I have an 89' LT250R with an FMF exhaust, Boyesen reeds, and tripple rate Works shocks on the front. I'm asking $2,800 for mine just for your comparison.
I just bought a 500 Quadzilla and it's better at the dunes due to the massive powerband, but it is harder to manage on tight trails. The sweet thing about the 250 is its light weight at around 335 dry, its shorter wheelbase, and overall power top to bottom. The Banshee is about 40 to 50 pounds heavier! It may be years before any manufacturer gets another production quad so light as the Quadracer. The four strokes just weigh more. I'd keep mine but I don't have the room.
I think you would love the bike but I would test ride one first if possible. Watch out for cracks in the swingarm when buying any with stock aluminum units.
