Quadzilla for 400EX
#1
I was at my local shop and I was walking by someone and this guy was talking about trading in his modded Quadzilla for a 400EX. Is this guy nuts or what? Just thought I would tell you all. Seemed funny to me.

Its true hey, anyone i asked about the zilla, they all said the same. "Its damn fast! but its a pain in the butt to keep it going". We all know their painful as far as maintenance goes, but you simply cant escape the thrill of that low down 'kick-u-in-the-butt' grunt. There is no comparison! Even modded banshee's take a while to get going. And as for going for the 400ex, the only thing I can think of is that he doesnt have time for the maintenace that the zilla requires. I used to wash my banshee every weekend and polish the chrome on it. now the banshee sits in the back of the shed, while i scare myself half to death on the zilla. Now she gets all my attention. Hmm, well I have an idea why.
He didnt want to have to fix his quad anymore.
(I know that you guys thought of that...Ill just be the one to actually say it)
I would love to own a Zilla. I think they are awesome, fast bikes.
But, like some other bikes, the Zillas are getting old. Some people dont have the cash on hand whenever they break, to fix them. Maybe selling it, and financing a new one was his answer.
The 400 is a great bike, and the least likely of any to require any wrenching for a long time.
Or, maybe he wanted a new MotoX'er?
-Matt (not flaming the Zuki, just pointing out what you guys seemed to miss...)

I'm selling the zilla because it is just more than i need. I'm still very suprised i haven't killed myself riding it. I hope to get an lt250r or banshee soon. The zilla drinks gas like there is no tomorrow and does require alot of money to keep going. My tranny just went out 3 days ago. 4 teeth were broken off of 3rd gear and they managed to find a few other gears to "play" with while floating around. I figure i'll sell the zilla and get something more managable. But, man was it a great bike.

I consider myself lucky, because for as long as I've had the big Zilla, and as hard as I ride it, I have had very few maintenance problems or major mechanical setbacks. True, you do have to spend a little more time keeping up with the care and feeding of the beast, and yes mine sucks down the gas like it's got a hole in the tank. But until I can find another ride that can give me the same thrill as the Zilla, I will be hanging on to my "king of the monsters".

Zoo you said it mate. It depends what riding you want. if you just wanna ride and have a good time then get one of those four stroke thingys......but most zilla riders you come across arent satisfied with a reasonably quick quad bike. We want a crazy quick bike. Its also very true that other quads handle better than the zilla. This would be my only reason for getting another quad. But my zilla seems to handle just fine. And like zoo it would probably be a 400ex, but major engine mods would follow! The guy looks to be trading crazy speed for nice handling.
