Old quadracer plastic back from the dead!!!!!!
#1
When I bought my 86 almost 7 months ago it came with a tattered, faded, transparent filthy bumpy chipping Tremclad yellow jobber with TONS of runs and drips...
The plastic is even cracked right in half in some areas...
And had a pretty poorly done pseudo-old school-flat-track rear fender cutting job done with what appeared to be an electric jig saw, the cuts were not even sanded down...
So, I sanded her all down a while ago and about two weeks ago I dropped them off at the local body shop...
Well, I got the plastic repaired and the front plastic cut, and now it's awaiting a little more repair and then it's off to the booth for...
Brace yourselves...
Dupont YN-08 yellow (I think that's what it's called, it was two weeks ago) and a special flex additive!
I'll write a report in the summer about how the plastic holds up... I think it may chip a little, but should be pretty good...
