Zilla front shocks. Who can rebuild them?
#1
I called 4 places today concerning rebuilding my front lt500 shocks, half of them said that it is possiable, the other half said that they were not rebuildable. And the palces that offered to rebuild them were asking $120 for labor + parts, I figure that I can ge a pair of Brand new dual rate Works for about $300, granted that works is not the best but they are a lot better than the stockers, and at only about $100 more than having the stockers rebuilt, why shouldnt I get them. If anyone has any ideas where to get these shocks rebuilt for a decent price, please tell me.
thanks guys

The front shocks on the LT500 can be rebuilt, at least the ones that came on the 87s, can speak for the other years. Mine have been rebuilt, and I would rather have them on my beast than a cheap set of works. If I was going to fork over big bucks for shocks I would definately go with Ohlins. But the stock Showa's on the LTs are very good units.
I had mine rebuilt/revalved by a local shop, but I hear that PEP rebuilds them. I've even heard that some people have actually had canisters added to the stock LT units. As far as the price to rebuild them the $120. is about average cost.
