hey people....you tell me how stupid i am lol....im flyin down my friends trails when all of a sudden my quad bogs down im givin it gas and shiftin and it wont go faster so then it jus stops...i get off scream and curse a bit and then unscrew the oil cap.....sSsSsSsSsSmoke pores out....apparently my 1986 suzuki LT230GE goes threw oil fast as a bat out of hell.....so then i run up to my friends house and grab some oil we come back down put some oil in and it jus wont start....did i seize my engine or sumtin? is it not starting cuzz of the oil not bein in the lines yet, or maybe its just a sparkplug cause mine is burnt to a crisp....and the battery dies at the same time to..is that a coinsidence or did it happen on its own...HELLLPPPPP

Well, worst case senario, your engine is now a 70lbs paper weight. If your lucky, you may have just gotten a friend top end, and trashed cam/valvetrain.

oh well you might as well go buy another engine or quad. Cuz ur definitiley screwed. You can always use it as a parts quad.

yea i def am a dumbass but it still kicks over and today it ran for about 30 seconds so i dont think it is seized but it really aint my fault kuzz the gauge for oil is broke and they never made a dipstick kuzz they figured u could use the gauge !

If you can kick it over, that probably means that you seized the rings. Probably just need a new piston and hone job.

Well, buddy, you shouldnt rely on a engine guage. Change your oil every 5 tanks of gas and check it before every ride so this never happens again. Its a good sign it starts for a few seconds. Take it to a shop and have them inspect it. If you do need a new engine look for one at http://www.cyclesalvage.com
