In my opinion the best quad ever is a tie between the TRX250R, Banshee and Zilla... Those who say the Zilla handles bad are... missing parts... It's very good handling... Some like it more than the 250R in handling... Just not on an MX track.

First of all... You guy's can squabble about what's best, better, and not even worthy of mentioning here... but:

At least Sadzuki had the intestinal fortitude to produce a big bore racer like the mighty 500, but they (IMHO) could have done many things much better! (Too much to list here)
All machines have their good points and bad points. My 250R handles like a dream on the MX track, but can't 'hang' with my LT at the Dunes, (No matter how much $$$ thrown at it to make it run hard) It's not nearly as comfortable to ride (For larger riders) as my LT.
The banshee hasn't been updated since it's inception and has many 'flaws' that could use a redesign, however, Yamaha at least is still making a 2-stroke, even though it takes much $$ to make them run hard. (The environmentalists have scared the others from making the light-weight mondo horspower 2-strokes)
The DS handles like a tricycle, trying to dump it's rider at all times, the Raptor doesn't make very much HP for as many cc's it has... and it remains to be seen whether the new Zuki will be as 'revolutionary' as everyone thinks. (IMHO it won't because it's still a 4-stroke)

Guess what I'm trying to say... Run what 'Ya brung, and have a good time doing it... The manufacturers can't make everyone happy (Especially me)... That's why I ride 15 y/o equipment!!

Party on!

In that list you forgot the Banshee. It Hasn't had any modifications since the 80's and other than weak shocks it is better than any other 2 stroke on the market. There is nothing like the Crotch rocket ride of that Liquid Cooled twin 350. It's pure adrenalin.

You're absolutely right! Key words "Currently Being built"

It takes big $$ to make them really run.

My piped banshee runs with piped Zillas all day long. Its not like you have to have a totally built banshee to run with a piped zilla. Sure they start with a 150cc advantage, but the banshee has tons of power to be tapped. If you think $200 more for a set of pipes for a banshee as oppossed to a quadzilla is a lot of money, well then yes, it takes alot of money to run with a quadzilla.

Reliability depends on the owner... I hate it when people say stuff like Banshees aren't reliable... If you were really easy on one, and were a total freak on a DS650 or something you'd break the DS650 WAAAY before the Banshee.

Sorry RoostKing.. Haven't seen many 'piped'(as in the pipes being the only mod) banshees run with my 500, Yes I've been beat, but only by the guy's that have spent the big $$..
You're totally missing my point.

Who goes the fastest= who spends the most $$
Banshee's need 2 pipes, 2 carbs, 2 reed cages... I Only need one of each...you get the picture.

Hey RoostKing... Just checked out your webpage... You ride up this way often?? (Assuming your in Az?)
I don't care much for walden (Other than the camping/partying is fun!)
the sand is rough, and not much of it.. Deadmans is okay, but 100 times up it gets a little old.. I have ridden Rock Springs a BUNCH (Grew up 100 miles from there).

In fact, Depending on when my wife has our little one.. I plan on being in Rock Springs over Memorial weekend. I'd love to run ya!

We'll have to get together and do some roosting!

Ever been to St. Anthony dunes in Idaho? About 2.5 times bigger than the Rock Springs dunes (Height and sq. area)
Unfortunately it's getting pretty popular there, and the big weekends are crowded.
I usually pick the off-holiday weekends to make that trip.
