I have an eiger 5sp 4x4. The shifter will shift easily from neutral to reverse. However, it is somewhat difficult to shift from reverse back into neutral. Sometimes the neutral light will be on but the transmission remains in reverse until you give ti a little gas. To be fair, I admit that the bike only has 15 miles on it. The dealer says that the problem isn't unusual and will fix itself after normal breakin of about 100 miles. Anyone else with the same problem? If so, did it fix itself or did you require repair or adjustment?

Thanks for the information.

Did you mean to say from H to reverse and then back to H again? The only stiffness that I've had has been with the L/H/R lever and then not very much. Used to have a KQ and it did a similar thing, just let the bike roll an inch or two and it will shift. I don't consider it a problem and expect that yours could loosen up after break in.

Yes, I meant it shifts hard from reverse back to h(igh). Thanks for the input.
