The spring on my rear shock snapped, It was this way when i got it, can it be welded, It's snapped about an inch and a half from the bottom,, thanks for any help

No, you can't weld the spring....its tempered steel, and any heat will weaken the spring in that area, the it'll just keep snapping in the same spot........denniskirk.com has aftermarket springs, I think by Progressive Suspension, and I don't think they're to expensive but don't recall the price......Whatever you do, just don't try to weld the spring

 

Does anyone know of any place where i might get a used spring, or the whole shock asembly,, does anyone have one,, let me know,, thanks

 

Will a rear shock off of a 1990 quadracer fit,, if not what years will fit,,there is one on ebay.. Let me know,, thanks

I have a stock rear shock that I would sell you minus the rezzie for $50 or I would sell you just the spring for $25. I also have a quadstar rear shock that is only a couple of months with a shockswear for $400. Let me know if you are interested.
