This was the original posts and the problems................

I bought a lt 80 for my kid and he now has about 12 hours on it. Today he was riding and it started to have a real loud sound from the motor area. Almost like someone put a pipe on the bike. I started looking around and noticed the bike was not smoking at all. Normally you can see the smoke from the oil.

Has anyone else had problems with the oil pump or other oil delivery parts on this bike?

Thanks

At the time the dealer told me it was the motor, now 4 months later it is found to have been a problem with the clutch.........

Has anyone else heard of this type of problem with the lt80's??????

Thanks

What I think has happened is that the lil plate that holds the horse-shoes in the frt clutch got off the key,it only hits the key by a smidgin and the best of us has miss-located during installation.Once miss-placed and the clutch is tightened,it squeezes onto the clutch end of the crankshaft.Obviously this time suzuki made the mistake.Your dealer sux, this is a 5 dollar fix (plus labor)

LT-80 is right, it sounds like that is the problem. We have had this happen to our 80's in the past. I live in your area and would be more than willing to help you fix this problem. It's a simple fix and I probably have the parts to fix it. E-mailme at that link to discuss it.
