I've noticed that in the service book for the 500r, they show the water pump impeller to have 7 blades, but at bike bandit.com and at the dealer, they show all years to have only 3 blades? Do any of you guys have a 7 blade impeller?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

I just looked at mine and it has 3 blades. My service manual shows it having 3 blades as well.
I'm not sure if they might have had 7 blades on the 87 model service manual? The one that I have covers mainly 88-90, but it does show most of the changes that have been made since 87, with probably the exeption of the waterpump impeller?

I don't know if this will help but... My 88 LT250R has three "blades" as my book shows. The book also shows for 85 and 86 models that they have 7 "blades" Maybe suzuki used an older photo or drawing in the series of book you have.

 

My 87 has 3 blades, both the old impeller and the new one.
