If they use pretty much all the DRZ's engine instead of reworking it from the ground up, I don't see where reliability will be an issue. That engine has already proven itself to be reliable.

About the only things that I have seen first hand as a weakness on the DRZ400 has been soft valve seats. When they go bad, they are not replaceable. You have to replace both the cylinder head and the valves. This seemed to only affect the 2000 year models and I haven't seen any in a while now. I can't confirm this, but maybe Suzuki updated the valve seats in the cylinder head last year?? The '00 has a different part number than the '01-'02 models.

I know that I have gotten waaaaay off subject here, but just a little FYI anyway.

My first GNCC will be at Loretta's next month, IF I can arrange it. Seems the whole staff is planning on running that one. It's still a wait and see. Can't shut the doors to go race. Someone has to stick behind.

I run the Memphis Hare Scramble series and will be running some of the Mid South series as well later this summer.

I'm a motocross guy who is at the turning point of going "all woods".

If I make it to Loretta's , I will be running in the 4 Stroke Stock class. I'll be on a Cannibal.......if I get to attend.

Put money down on the Quadsport 400 today. Dealer said it could arrive anytime in the next 2 to 4 weeks.. He has also ordered a kit from Yoshimura with titanium pipe and some other goodies specifically for this machine..
