Does anyone know where I can either get my stock swingarm extended or a company that makes +6-+8 inch swingarms? If so, where can I get them at? I've looked everywhere and I cant find any. Thanks!

There's a guy here local that does them for Banshee's and LT500's. I think he does them for LT250's too, but I never looked into it.

I priced a new extended swing arm for my LT500 at a few different places, and this guy wanted $350 for a 6" extended swingarm. That's bare steel. Another $100 to get it powder coated. (Dustins Advanced 2 Stroke (503)722-7233). Everyone else in town wanted to order me a chrome one for $650 on up, depending on the length.

If you get your stock arm extended (assuming it's aluminum like mine), it will surely crack. Mine is extended 6" and I had to bring it in to get the cracked welds fixed. It's just the nature of aluminum welding. If the welds aren't heat treated, then they don't last. And heat treating is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Mine works for now, but the longtime fix will be a new steel arm.

There is another guy who makes custom swingarms, I can't think of the guys name or the company, but he builds it specifially for your application. I'll try and dig up his website for you.

If you have any local tool&die shops in your town, you'll find the best tig welders there. Any tool shop could do it, but you'll pay an hourly rate on it. Also, if there are any race car chassis builders in your area they could do it, Aluminum doesnt have to be heat treated after you tig it, Its just got to be held at a steady temperature to weld, then cooled slowly, and a coulpe of braces run legth ways with the swingarm.

i was calling all over the country yesterday about swingarms, my brother needs one for his LT soon, it has cracks all over it & he wants a round-style housing... i want to go to a round housing sometime when i get the cash... some places are willing to custom make one, prices ranged from 700-900. call ronnies, nacs, shoc connection, and atvracing1.com (all in DW mag) nacs lists a leagers on thier website, i know lonestar makes them too. not listed in DW mag is C&D racing at (308)368-7805 ... RPM used to make them, but they stopped and only have a -3" in stock(bad for anything other than TT)...i called them too.
