Everest 650?!?

Many rumours about Suzuki getting a 650 via the Kawi Prairie 650...
Do you think it'll be a Kawi in yellow or the Vinson w/the 650 motor transplanted? Doesn't the Kawi have a tru front diff lock? What about IRS. If Yamaha can build a 660 with IRS and be <606lbs can't Suzuki?
IMHO it'll be the Kawi chassis as the Vinson is already 606lb with the 500cc engine. The chassis is too heavy to add the big twin...

I'm hoping it's a Vinson with the Kawi motor. I test drove the Prairie and there were a few things I didn't like. I remember that the engine braking was noisy. I'm not sure if the Prairie shocks were adjustable or not.
I'll bet Suzuki could still trim a few pounds off of the Vinson to keep it in the 600 lb. range.
Either way, I'd consider selling one of my Quadrunners and buying an Everest, regardless of the configuration.

I would love to see Suzuki tuck that twin in the Vinson frame...I am sure if they do that they will make sure a diff lock in incorporated. The extra weight wouldn't bother me either, I have ridden the "heavy" AC's and Polaris, using them as a utility (hauling and pulling cord wood, rec riding, etc...) quad, the extra 50 or 60 lbs doesn't hurt. I am going to give Suzuki until July or so... I have owned nothing but Suzi's, but if no big bore....looks like a new 660 Grizz will be in my garage.

I understood the Japanese manufactures had a unwritten rule limiting the weight of the quads to 275kg (606lb). Notice that the Griz, Prairie, Vinson and even the Rincon all are 606 or less. Meanwhile AC, Polaris and Bomb, all build whatever they want.. who cares what they weight?
If Suzuki could lighten the Vinson chassis enough to incorporate the Big twin and stay within 606 lb, then why didn't they design the chassis to be lighter reight away when they designed the Vinson?
Thats why I suspect it'll have the Kawi Chassis. It'll be a yellow Prairie? (Not that thats a bad thing)
