eh... What's wrong with the top end? Head damage? Cylinder damage?
I threw a new piston, rings, circlips, top con rod bearing, gaskets, wrist pin and took all the pieces of the old piston out of the head...
It was easy.
But, a four stroke is totally different and you didn't describe your situation good enough, so... I can't help you.

Hi,
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the top end on my 4 stroke, a 95 Wolverine, the only part to keep track of is making sure the cylinder is at TDC,and tie up the cam chain so it won't fall into the lower part.A shop manual for your machine is a must, your will need it for disassembly and reassembly directions, special parts to watch for,and torque specs on all the fasteners. It's not that hard, just take it slow and keep track of all the parts and where they go.
