I got a little over 400 miles on mine. The shifter has losen up.When you shift gears(H L R) press down on the shifter. It should help with going in gear.Mine has losen up alot. But once in a while I still haft to press down on the shifter. The machine is grate. I have had 5 suzuki now. They all had Dunlops on them. I have not yet had 1 flat on any of them.Maybe I am lucky

After about 250 miles my shifter has worked out most of it's kinks, although it was never too bad to begin with. I've tried that trick of pushing down on the toe shift to loosen up the shift from R to H - never did very much to affect mine.

I've had one flat so far, on some really rough rocky trails. Planning on sticking with the stock tires until they get worn.

Good luck with the new ride!

Jaybee

Howdy feller:

Did you get your valves adjusted as is recommended in the owner's manuel? The mechanic at my dealer told me that it usually isn't a problem until 750-1000 miles.

If anyone has had the valves adjusted on the eiger, is it real hard to do yourself? How much would it cost to have the dealer do it?Text

My dealer said after 10 hours. $160 for a new plug, oil and filter, valves, and go thru the bike. I think this is a little steep...Jerry

My shifer is a little sticky 'till it gets warmed up. Had my first flat at 100 miles (left front) They should sell these machines with 4 bottles of slime. It works wonders!
