What tires work good on a 500 on mostly moderately packed trails and some mud. Holeshots, razr, shreaders? What about going to a 22-11-10 instead of 20-11-10? Any thoughts would be great. I put Razr on my 400ex and they where great, if any thing they hooked up to much, so i figured the they may be the choice.

 

I put the Razr on mine and I really like the way they work. I also thought about 22-11-10's but I left the 20-11-10's on it. I don't need more top end speed!

 

The 22's are a good choice if you need more ground clearance.
That's what I run.

 

The Razr's are a great all around tire, I have always liked them. I also think that the Pure Sports Bandit looks like a good tire, especially if you plan on doing a little mud riding. They look to be indistructable.

 

The Bandits are an indestructable tire (Kevlar belted)
But the traction is less than good... Side bite is pathetic IMO. They sure look mean, but they aren't!

I bought the Razrs right after I spent the $$ on the Bandits.... MUCH BETTER!

 

Get some realtors if you are going to be riding in any mud. They provide great traction in just about any conditions.
