Top Speed of the Vinson
#2
1Bearman,
I have owned mine for two weeks now. I had a problem with squeaking brakes, but took it back to the dealer and they did a bit of grinding on the pad and the problem went away. They told me that if I have any more problems they would replace the pads. I have had no real problems with my shifter, but it is a little stubborn at times. I can live with it. Overall, I am really happy with it. I have 15 miles on it and have not had to use four wheel drive yet.

One of my buddies has a Vinson. According to the speedo he got up to 55 (before bigfoot kit), maybe a little higher if he wanted. Really nice atv. Only problems hes had is with the brakes, belt slipping in water, and shifter. Had the brakes and shifter fixed already. After riding in water up to the lights we have to remove the drain plug on the cover of the transmission then after a couple of minutes we are ready to go again. Like I said before, nice atv. Hard to stop that thing, only when it gets high center like everything else. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Thanks everone for all of your input, I think people on this Suzuki site are by far the most friendly and informed of all the other brands. How does the automatic braking system perform and is there anything else you can share with me about the Vinson.

1Bearman,
You're right about the folks on this forum. They're some of the nicest I've conversed with. Some forums have folks that let their brand loyalty cloud their judgement and won't listen to anyone with a different opinion.
I hope this type of atmosphere continues.

I've had mine since Jan. I've seen 64 when it was stock on a dirt road. After the nods. I get 53 out of it. No problems with it. The shifter is a little stiff. There is a fix out for it from Suzuki. The dealer will install it if its needed.
