Yeah, I remember that post about Tudor's........anyways.....So what they're saying is a 12hp gain (at the rear wheels, no less) just from a stage 2 port job, modifying the stock head, and polishing the chamber? Everything else is just rebuilding the motor to be new like it was in 1988, which wouldn't give it any more oomph than what it came with from the factory.....Does this seem like an exaggeration on Tudor's part or am I just retarded about porting and such?

Im not sure, but the HP gain is not what im really looking for.
Lord knows the Zilla has enough power.
I need the rebuild due to the worn out cases.

But, porting does add quite a bit of power when done properly.
Combining that with a modded head, and polished "chamber" <not sure what THAT is>

I could see a 12HP gain in a big two stroke from this if done right.
If not, thats ok. Im sure ill feel it, and most importantly, It will be rebuilt.

That post about tudors performance will not keep me from taking my motor there, just like your bad experience with Trinity would not keep me from doing buiz with them.

They told me a solid 2-3 week turn around. I am driving distance from them, so after a month if I dont have my motor back, I can be there in person to find out why.

ps, I am getting this motor work done for 980 dollars. This seems to me like a good deal.

I was going to say the same thing about the 12hp gain...

It COULD be done if they shaved the head a bit and did a perfect port job... Actually, it could easily be done... It'll just run on race gas.

After bTodd's experience with Tudor's, I wouldn't send them a friggin' sparkplug to gap. Not unless I lived within striking distance of these clowns. Keep his cases and not return his calls? No way baby.

I read that the the 500 cases offered by Suzuki now have a stronger crank bearing area. The cases are cast using a stronger material.

You're right. Face to face works better.

Not being able to talk face to face, view the shop area, or drive up to check on MY stuff is why I backed out from sending my engine off. I found an ATV shop here in OKC that would do the labor. I then bought all of my parts (stuff I wanted & trusted) and took it to them for disasembly and repair.
Worked out great!.
