Sometime soon I will be getting my motor back from getting totally re-done top & bottom. The cylinder is bored .75 mm over I have boysen reed (if that makes a diff.) and a FMF fatty gold pipe. I need all the help I can get on jetting this. What size jets should I start out with? What notch should I set the needle on? Should I do anything with the pilot jet? and anything else I need to know about doing this. I am using the stock carb for a 91' suzuki lt250r. Also I use a Uni 2-stage air filter.

thanks alot,

chuck

well not my specialty..
I'll give you a run down of carb workings...
THIS IS GENERAL INFO...

the first circut is the pilot : it is controlled by the pms screw & the pilots..works from idle to about 2000 rpm...
the next circut is the needle: it overlaps the pilot & runs from about 1500 rpm to about 4000 rpm (needle position with clips or shims waries this)
the next circut is the mains: they overlap in the needle from 3500 rpm to top end, the mains control this

typically what you get in a jet kit is a set of needles with an adjustable clip to raise the needle position & some main jets, you adjust the pms screw richer on the bottom, & run it..

BEST ADVICE: ask someone who has a bike like yours what jets they are running..start there, you can go up or down to fine tune...
plug checks give you the best read as how the bike is running at waht rpm range...

You might go to the DynoJet web site and send them an e-mail with your question. They've always been good about answering when I've asked questions.
