hey i just got this atv and it was not firing... so i got a coil but it now only fired on the 3rd stoke so i replace the cdi and stator and it this doing the same thing am i missing sometime ? please help or if you had the same problem beore ...thank

 

THAT my friend is what having a 86 Suzuki is all about. Do not be worried about it starting on the 3rd kick, I had a new coil, stator, stator mount and cdi on my 86 quadracer and was lucky to get it started in 20 kicks. 3 is a very good deal. I will give you one tip, check your swingarm every week at least, they are EXTREMELY weak stock. Jack it up and inspect the bottom of the bearing carrier part of the swingarm. If you find a crack you can heliarc it, regular weld wont work or get a aftermarket on if u ride hard.

Are you mixing at 20 to 1 or 32 to one ?

 

hey yes it a quadracer and i mix 32-1 ookk so i need to just keep kickin unit start?the stator look all that good im going to replace it next ..even check the stator it show oook but i guess i dont know what im really loooking for..oh in aenough i should say as so i get it running ?..lolthank for ya help and idea

 

oh it only spark on the 3rd stoke ...it not firing on every stoke.
