Without having even sat on a new Z-400 I feel confident that I will be able to predict Dirt Wheels shoot out results.

Most Power - Raptor
Best Motor - Z400
Top Speed - DS 650
Best Suspension - Cannondale
Best Handling - 400EX/Z400 tie

Overall - Z400

I would like to make a couple corrections if thats ok:

Most Power: Cannondale
Best Motor: Z400 or Raptor
Top Speed: Cannondale, Raptor, or DS650, possibly Z400 depending on how it does.
Best Suspension: DS650 has allways won this category
Best Handling: I agree with you on that one

Overall: I agree with you again.

Hmm... I'll make more corrections

Best motor-Whoever throws the most money at them
Fastest-Whoever throws the most money at them, closely followed or slightly beat by the Cannondales
Best Suspension-Cannondale(depending onwhat model they test)
Best Handling-Zuki or Raptor, because they throw the most money at them probably.

Motocross Stock vs Stock

Useable power: Dale, Raptor & Z tied, EX, DS?????
Handleing: EX & Dale tied, Z, Raptor, DS
Suspension: DS, Dale, Z, Ex, Raptor
Top speed: Who cares it means very little
Comfort: DS, Z, Raptor, EX & Dale tied
I don't ride woods and am going to the dunes this weekend.
Have owned all but the DS..

Didn't put the 250r in since it's a two stroke...

Ok, here is my opinion:

Most Power: DS 650 (just look at the dyno's)
Best power to weight ratio: C-dale (everyone knows that)
Best motor: obviously the DS's bullet proof Rotax.
Top Speed: C-dale
Best in woods: Z400 (light weight, good power, reverse)
Best in Dunes: Banshee (not talkin 4-strokes, just hi-per quads)
Best in Desert: Ds 650 (Can't beat that 12" of SMOOTH travel)
Best Suspension: DS 650 (most travel and VERY smooth)
Overall comfort: DS 650 (if you disagree, you're in denial)
Best handling: Z400 (or atleast that's what the magazines will say)
Best in MX: C-Dale (Bring it )

Overall: Who ever kisses their asses the most and gives them the most $. *COUGH* Raptor *COUGH*

Even though I chose the DS as the winner for most of these catagories, some catagories deserve more "points" than others. In my opinion, the overall should be the Z400. I haven't ridden one but they have more power and speed than the 400ex, I'm sure it will out handle the Raptor, it has good suspension travel, and it's light weight w/ reverse. All in all, it would be the best ALL AROUND quad. I still love my Dale because that thing floats through the air so nicely and all I really do is MX. I honestly feel that (Don't freak out Honda riders) the C-dale is much more predictable and nimble in the air than the 400ex.

Just my $.02... what do yall think? Am I way off?

LMAO.... I agree 100% percent. If we listened to the magazines everybody would own a Raptor. J/K.

I agree about the money thing. Even before I get the issue that contains the shootout (probably in July) I'm going to see who has the most ads. That will be the tell all sign.

It is exciting that we are finally getting some new sport quad choices!

Well, if we were doing predictions of what the magazine was goin to say, it would be:

Most Power: C-dale
Best power to weight ratio: C-dale
Best motor: Raptor
Top Speed: C-dale
Best in woods: Raptor
Best in Dunes: Raptor
Best in Desert: Raptor
Best Suspension: Raptor
Overall comfort: Raptor
Best handling: Z400
Best in MX: Raptor

Overall: Raptor

Or it could be

Most Power: C-dale
Best power to weight ratio: C-dale
Best motor: C-dale
Top Speed: C-dale
Best in woods: C-dale
Best in Dunes: C-dale
Best in Desert: C-dale
Best Suspension: C-dale
Overall comfort: C-dale
Best handling: C-dale
Best in MX: C-dale

so over all would be obvious right?

Well their choice for overall would be.... Raptor
