My predictions for the up coming 4 stroke sport quad shootouts
#21
Where will the Raptor be next year when it goes from a 660 to a 450. Now things will change. The Raptor will be a 450 (based on the 426 engine currently in their dirt bikes.) The DS is looking into an Aluminum Frame and parts to drop 80 lbs. The Shee has one more year of production after this year then no more. Bombardier will release a 400 sport quad (Rotax Powered) they say next year, don't hold your breath.
The magazines will have a lot to write about in the next year.

Phaskell,
What the hell are you spouting off about? You make no sense. You say the Z400 has the extra weight of liquid cooling and reverse yet the Z400 weighs LESS that the 400EX. Where is all the extra weight on the 400EX? The cooling fins? If you bothered to read the current on-line reviews they have already said that the Z400 is quicker than the 400EX.
I think you are just being a little too defensive since you tricked out your Honda and something newer and more advanced came out.
I agree with what people said about the Z400 being the best bang for the buck, its hard to think that it wouldn't be. As far as the Cannondales, they look like nice quads but just a bit too spendy, at least for me. Plus they don't have reverse. If you don't race than reverse is an awesome feature every 4 stroke quad should have.

Yeah, thats the problem... barely any of you guys do any real riding... LOL Just kidding.
Seriously though, overall, I know damn well that the C-dale doesn't take the #1 spot, but for what I do, the choice was OBVIOUS. Not only is the Dale the fastest, but it is also the quickest (yes there is a difference between fast and quick) and you add that to a very good handling, pretty light weight, and very nimble quad, and you have an AWESOME motocross machine. If all I did was trail ride, I probably would have been stuck w/ the Raptor, if I would buy a trail bike now, I probably would go w/ the Z. Sorry Honda, but I don't see ANY reason to buy a 400ex. If I were a dune rider (which I wish I could do sometimes) I would get either the Shee or a R.
