If i remember correctly you guys are removing the air box lid and snorkel and jetting to 145.The reason i'am asking is because i am heading out to hit the dunes and i want to get a little more power out of it for the dunes, also are the jets a large or small hex mikuni jet and did you change the needle setting? Thanks

We are running #145 mains but have not yet adjusted the needle. Not sure if the needle is adjustable. The mains are the small round ones like the raptor. Also, we are at 4500 ft. elevation. Hope you have fun at the dunes.

I've read where they are doing the mods you are speaking of and using a 150.

You can get some more low-end/midrange snap by lowering the clip(raising needle)one notch, and installing a 27.5 or 30 pilot jet.The bike & atv are jetted very lean from the factory,by pulling the airbox lid and snorkel your making the engine run even more lean.

Our dealer jets every quad they sell. I had a 130 and Buddah a 125. Our elevation doesn't require the needles to be touched. You guys below 2000ft are a different story...

I ride in elevations 350 feet, 700 feet and 1100 feet. What jet should I use on a stock Z? At what elevation should I change the jet? Will the stock jetting from the factory work for me? Thanks. I don't have my Z yet, I'm getting it this Thursday.

I should have paid more attention to the State.Im not sure if the quad has the same muffler/end cap as the bike, but if you don't mind it being a little louder you can drill the removable end cap on the muffler with a 1 3/8 hole saw and it helps open it up some.If you don't mind a lot more noise you can take a 1/4 drill bit (with extension)and drill 4-6 holes through the baffle plates,if it's like the E/S model dirtbike it has one baffle plate you can see with the end cap removed and another baffle plate behind that one.The drilling does make the bike louder, but the end cap mod isn't bad at all.
