Default "TUDORS PERFORMANCE" REBUILD COMPLETE

This post is.. uhh, old.

Jeff @ tudors did my motor when I posted this. (april and may of 02')
My motor still runs awsome after these months time.
Ive delt with him quite a bit. Ive bought a few things from him and he seems to be a trustworthy guy.
Hes always treated me with respect, and been honest with me.

I recently took my head and carb in for him to shave, and bore, and he had the job done in the time he promised.
(about a week)

He is totally trustworthy to me.

Hey "matt". Why dont you tell us the whole story? Someone like jeff wouldnt just REFUSE to send back something for NO REASON.
There must be some sort of conflict there. He just didnt decide to keep your head/motor for himself.

Matt,

Thanks for the update on your Zilla engine from Tudor's. I'll look up Jeff after the holidays and see what he's got to say about mine.

I know this is an old post but Tudor's Performance has not changed. He took 14 months to get me my motor back. One excuse after another. He tried to charge me for stuff I never asked for. He has constantly screwed things up. When done he said he shipped it to the wrong address and it came back. They painted the motor the wrong color. I don't know how they are still in business. He may do good work ( I hope) but his turnaround time sucks. Two months after getting my motor he still has my carb. If I were closer I would love to pay him a visit. I would recommend somebody else.

Guys'.... Tudors is just another 'puppy' shop... just like Trinity

Take it for what it's worth!

Some will have good experiences, others won't....

You roll the dice!

If you dont live in Cali and deal with Jeff ,you get the run-around (FACT!!!)... He also had my motor for almost a year. Screwed me on the gaskets and didnt do some of the work i payed for... You really do roll the dice with this guy.
My $.02 also

ps- You guys got your moters painted.... was it free of charge?

What did he do to yours? Mine was a total rebuild with inserts in the cases. Also I got an Internet special. Don't know how special it was. He added a circuit to the carb and ported it and I got a Cool Head. Mine is a 87'. What ratio are you runnning and what type of oil?

I had the rebuild with a stage 2 port job. the cases machined to fit the new STEEL mainbearing inserts. I dont think Jeff uses the cheap brass ones i hope. I also had my crank rebuilt and trued. I had the head studs machined and larger tapered studs inserted. New Hinsen clutch basket and kit. V-force reed cage. Thats about it as far as i can remember. Oh i almost forgot your other question about mix-oil. I use Amsoil series 2000 @ 32-1. AMsoil is the best oil out there. I also use Amsoil grease, 4 stroke oil...i just love their products. They have been around for quit some time and know their stuff.

Holy Moly you guys brought up an old post of mine!!!!!
Starting to show my age around here in the forums, eh?

I dont visit much, as I have sold both of my quads. (including the Ziller)
My TUDORS built zilla motor always ran great. (at least the MOTOR.. not the rest of the quad!)
