i went through american family because i got my car insurance through them. i got insurance for $150/yr. for my Z. i also have insurance on my 300EX, through another company. go to www.weinsurefun.com. i got insurance for my 300EX for $110/yr. from them. they are called program managers. full coverage; med., theft, etc. all of the good stuff. pay the money, it is worth it.

I just got off the phone with www.weinsureforefun.com and they said they couldn't insure my quad if I did any performance enhancements. Including suspension, motor mods (exhausts included), basically if it isn't stock they won't insure it. Is there a way around this. All I really care about is not being out 6,000 if it gets stolen.

I am waiting on a quote from state farm right now. I will see let you know how much. I have a feeling it is going to be expensive.

you mean that the insurance will not cover enhancements if you put them on later? they never told me that when i insured mine....well, i never asked either. that is bullsh!t. so, they will insure it as stock and if it is stolen, they will cover you for what it is in stock condition...even if you have the aftermarket parts on it? let me know what you do. try american family....i am not sure if you can get atv insurance if you don't have some other type of insurance with them already.

Up here in Canada my insurance is fire, theft and collision. So I'm covered head to toe. I'm pretty sure if I add stuff to my quad that "enchances" it and I have the bill of sale for those items then of course they will cover you. Thats how it works in Manitoba. My insurance was cheap too, something like $200 a year. Thats in Canadian funds too, American funds that would be something like $130. It may have been a little more but it was around that figure.

I have heard from people that collision covers damages that you do to the quad, lets give an example. Your showing off to your friends, showing them how high you can jump. Well lets say you jumped a little high and a little too fast and you landed on a 4 foot diamter boulder and smashed your quad to pieces. I think collision would cover you on this. Thats what I hear from people who drive ski-do's anyways.

Just got a quote from state farm for 186.00 a year. all the goodies included and they don't care if I do upgrades. Looks like I am going with them, a little more pricy, but I have my car insurance with them and feel comfortable ( if that is possible) with this company.
