Remind me not to get you POed. In the next couple weeks the 03's will be shown off. If there's a Suzuki Vinson with the 650 Kawi motor and diff lock buy it! Flashy looks and brute strength what else would a hunter want? Oh yea camo plastic.

Don't forget that with all those mighty extra CC's that you want you'll also get a drop in MPG's and less range. You can always add an aux tank but I know my Eiger gets 25MPG+ for a safe 100 mile range while my brothers P650 gets only 15 MPG for a 65 mile range.

Sounds like you do some long distance traveling so that could be a factor.

Curious? So far the Suzi and the Prairie both need fuel at almost exactly the same time which means that they have the same range but the Prairie does burn more fuel to get there.
They are both autos. Your 5speed probably does much better on fuel.

TY jaybeecon55 yes I do get good gas mileage now. 4gal tank 120 miles aint bad at all. A little ride on my Eiger is about a 100 miles round trip. A good ride is about give or take 20 miles 350 round trip

It must be the 5-speed. Like you, I almost always ride my Eiger in the company of a P650 (my brothers). We've had enough trips to get some consistant MPG figures. Of course, we are always on the very same trail but if anything - I like to hot dog it a bit more.....ride harder and faster for a bit and let him catch up. Still boils down to the Eiger = 25MPG = 4.0 gallon tank and P650 = 15MPG = 4.5 gallon tank. My brother has added a 3 gallon spare tank behind the rear rack that has a fuel line that can refill the main tank by opening one valve.

As an aside - I also pull mine with an '02 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Instead of the Duramax, I've got the 8.1L gas/ Allison auto 5-speed. On a good day, if I go easy, I may see 10 MPG.

Damn bears, won't walk their butt to the truck.

As to the quad I'd go with the Grizzle, from what I hear it's pretty good for this application.

He hunts dears, me I hunt for a drive though window.

Suzuki has a 5-speed/auto clutch version of the Vinson for '03. No sign of anything larger.

Where did you hear about a 5-speed Vinson? I haven't heard any rumors about it (not that it means anything). It would be nice to have a choice of trannies even though I'd lean towards the auto.
