Zilla won't stay running (Carb issue?)
#1
I have an 88 Zilla (.100 over, cool head, 6 inch swingarm extension, etc etc) and the darn thing won't stay running without pumping the throttle. It's especially bad when it's cold, but then when I finally get it warm, it will only stay alive for about 20 seconds, before it dies (unless you push the throttle, ie pump the gas, again). The idle speed seems fine (until it dies). Perhaps I need to rebuild the carb? I'm quite sure it's a KEIHIN 38.5. Perhaps I'm just running it too rich? The plug seemed to look fine tho.
HELP is appreciated.
Thanks.

Why do you want your Zilla to idle for 20 seconds?!
2 strokes dont like to idle. They will load up, as you probably know.
My Zilla (that runs perfectly) will idle for a few seconds and then eventually die. This is normal for a 2 stroke, as far as Im concerned.
If your Zilla is going to idle for more than 5-10 seconds, just kill it and give it that few seconds to cool alittle bit.
