The only problems I have had with mine are:
1.) The brake disc is slightly bent due to plastic skid plates.
2.) The swingarm linkage skid is broke cuz it's plastic
3.) The black grommet on the front right fender is gone due to a large UFO hitting it.
4.) I spend a lot on gas because I am always on it.
5.) It's always dirty
Other than that, I love this quad

The only problems I've heard with plugs was just a gap issue. Other than that, I've heard nothing else of problems there. I have yet to check mine as mine seems to just be getting faster and faster as the more hours I put on it. No real problems with either of ours, although there is a very slight wobble to the axle when jacked up and running in gear. Not sure as to whether it's just a tire/rim, or axle. Hasn't really made any difference in the quality of the ride, so I'm just waiting till I have her in for valve checking and stuff. We are above satisfied thus far with our machines.

I've been pretty hard on my Z and other than the axle this machine is awesome. I MX the dog pi out of mine and it seems to like the abuse. It also has responded well to a few mods. Buy one, you'll love it!!

For a k&n, you should check out albaaction.com You have to use their setup that allows for the k&n to work, I dunno, it's that nice looking aluminum setup that bolts to your air box. I am pretty sure that they're the only ones with a set up for the k&n for the Z. I am on my way to their site right now to order both for myself.
