I used to have a twist throttle on my old 250X and never really liked it. I prefer thumb throttles on quads because you use the handlebars to horse them arond so much. With the twist throttle you can't get as good a grip on the right side of the bars which makes it more difficult to slide, ride technical terrian, and ride the whoops.

It really is a personal preference so if your curious you should try it but I'd bet you will go back to the thumb style.

One way it was explained to me why twist thottles work better on bikes than they do quads is that bikes are always in balence when turning, etc while quads force you to hang off the side and ream on the bars during many manuvers.

I have ridden different things over the last 10 years sport motorcycles, dirt bikes, and quads I like to stick with what is on the machine. The one quad which had a twist just didn't feel right to me. I guess it is all just a matter of personal preference..
