lt250r clutch help?

Other thing way you got it a part is check to see if the basket has grooves on the fingers.
One question on the clutch plates. Did you soak the new ones in tranny fluid before installing them. If not this could be the problem. If that is the case you need to replace the plates. I would reccomend the factory fiber and metal ones over aftermarket do to the fact they tend to last longer. If you have to replace the basket I would buy the Hinson one instead. I have a 91 that has had the basket replaced 2 times one with a factory one and the last time I put the hinson in it. I race the quad so the clutch gets alot of abuse. The clutch has been replace numerous times. All with aftermarket plates. Next time I do it will have factory ones. Hope this helps. Later

Oh yeah it's grooved up pretty bad on the right side at the top of the basket. I'm guessing thats the driven side of the basket. Is there any way to repair or is replacement the only option?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

and it will cause problems... somtimes thay will break off the 'fingers' of the basket
