Are low profile tires any good in sand?

if anyone can reply i was wondering if low profile tires are any good in sand?

If you're talking Turf Tamers they're junk in the sand. Dunlops and Ohatsu's are the best for knobbies.....

I have the stock tires on my z400 they are low profile dirt tires.

You can get around the flats and run up the smaller hills & bowls on knobbies and have a good time. The steep soft stuff is out of the question though. Dirt tires can be a lot of fun in the sand because you can slide around so easily. If you want to be a regular sand duner get some paddles though.
