Just a thought. Saw a DRZ400 Enduro bike on the weekend. Had a push / pull twist grip. Maybe this is why Suzuki did not use the DRZ carbie on the LTZ. Not compatible with a thumb throttle. Middo

Suzuki didn't use the FCR on the LTZ because of cost reasons. The common retail price on a FCR is around $450. The CV style that is on the LTZ is $150. The FCR is made to work with push/pull or pull only. I have a 39mm FCR on the 250X, the same carb that is on the DRZ. I am told that if you use a DRZ intake and airbox boot, the FCR will bolt on the LTZ. The FCR is the best carb avaliable, hands down. All of the sport bike racers and microsprint racers run a FCR.

Man, that was a lot of abbr.
