What should I do with my stock air filter set up. It seems to hamper the Z too much. What should I buy? K&N?

Alot of people like the K&N but I prefer the protection of a foam filter. I'm using a UNI, it flows alot of air and it's easy to clean.

Dear Chris:

The part # NU-2483ST is the correct filter for your application.

Try locating the element from your local motorcycle dealership. Then, if not available, you can order directly from Uni Filter by emailing us back, once again referring to the part number, along with quantity, complete shipping address, and your credit card info (number, exp.date, name on card). If you prefer, for security purposes, you can split your credit card number over two emails.

Your order will ship in approximately 3-5 working days via UPS. We cannot give you shipping charges in advance, but they will be no more than what UPS charges. We do not add any handling charge of any kind.

Thank you for your interest in Uni Filter!

Regards,
Alan W. Mitchell

The K&N with the outerwear is pretty good. I run it.

Pro Design has a new adaptor that will alow you to run either K&N or foam. You can see it at www.prodesignracing.com. I would run foam in the dirt, it will keep more dirt and dust out of your motor.
