I see Alba has a filter adapter for the K&N but is it really needed or worth it?

Yes, you have to have it to run the K&N. There is nothing to bolt the filter because of how they did the stocker.

I have to assume then that Alba is using an air filter from some other quad then. I've never heard of K&N making an air filter that you have to buy aftermarket parts for to mount it. I can see them using that white plastic piece to keep the filter in place like the stocker. The Alba combo does look a little more secure though.
