DirtWheels Shootout - Z400 vs Raptor
#1
Nice article on both quads and BTW both are great quads. Dirtwheels chose the Z as the winner. If you want top speed in a straight line, buy a Raptor. If you want something you can push the envelope on just about anywhere but the drag, buy a Z.
"The Suzuki Z-400 Quadsport is the new measuring stick that other ATV manufactures will have to rise to" quote un-quote.

I never take what the mags say too seriously. They are usually just about advertising dollars, BUT, coming from a two Z household, we love them. They rock in every kind of riding that we do. Just a great all around machine and would buy another again and not blink an eye. I'd be speeding home just to start the break in.

"Last month we stacked Suzuki's new Z quad up against the two other popular contenders in its class, Honda's 400EX and Cannondale's Cannibal 440. After the dust had settled, the Z-400 collected its first victory." "Power-wise the 400EX was no match and on the motocross track the Suzuki stayed close enough to the Cannondale that it was declared the overall champ" Un-quote. page 114

I believe the reason that they gave it to the Z against the Dale is that in order to utilize what the Dale has to the max, you must be an expert rider which is about 5 to 10 percent of the riders out there. The article is for the other 95 percent out there who are recreational riders. And there's no question that it rocks the over the ex, even though it is still a great machine and is one of the few that will stand the test of time.

And I'm part of the 95% group. If I was in the other 5% I would probably have bought a Dale. Anyhow the Z fits my pace just fine
